WANTED older Fenwick HMG 8' 3" 6-17lb casting rod(s) these rods are one of the few steelhead rods with a hump handle.
Someone must have one in their closet somewhere, if your interested in selling let me know

Hmmm. I have a Fenwick Techna HMG AV, i believe it is 8'6", 8-17. I'll have to look when I get home to make sure. Have not used the rod in a good while so if you want it let me know. I'm not sure about the "hump" in the handle though. The cork on mine does not feature that.

Curious which one you have? The Techna AV and the HMG are two completely different blanks.

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but....My buddy had 2 of those old HMG Fenwicks (his were baitcasters) & busted both of them in less than 1 year...on fish

I have a few (7) FS83C's that I use for plug rods. Rated 6#-17#. I have fished them for over 25 years and have never broke one. Take care of your stuff, it'll take care of you.

Ok, went home and checked, the rod is a HMG AV 8'6" 10-20. Hope that clarifies things...
